Hartzell Chapman form multi million golf venture in Amana
Larry Hartzell and Joe Chapman have become near equal partners in Chartz Golf Management Corp. They plan a major golf complex in the Amana Colonies after a longtime friendship formed when Chapman joined the Iowa PGA as executive director in 1980. Chapman already leads Iowa PGA activities and the amateur Iowa Golf Association while Hartzell transitions from Elmcrest to the new Amana project. Hartzell, 35, has multiple sclerosis and is now legally blind yet remains active in golf management with a focus on building the new facility.
