Work natural way of life for Kirkpatrick
Suzanne Barnes profiles Frieda Kirkpatrick an 80 year old Cedar Rapids resident who refuses retirement. She keeps busy as a noon hostess at Royal Fork Buffet and serves supper on the southeast side for 22 residents on the third floor. She grew up on a farm in Marengo and after WWII married Ralph Kirkpatrick. She later worked at South Amana Bakery and for 18 years at a local phone company before moving to Cedar Rapids. She quilts each winter and adapts to life with energy and purpose.
