South Dakota Offers Iowa Residents Resident Tuition
South Dakota public universities will offer Iowa students first time freshmen and transfers in-state tuition rates to curb Iowa students leaving. The plan covers University of South Dakota, South Dakota State, Dakota State, and Northern State, while Mines and Technology and Black Hills State do not participate. The policy seeks to balance enrollments and bring in revenue to offset aid and program costs.
