Van fails to stop at D-65 triggers multiple-vehicle crash
Tama County deputies report a westbound van ran a stop sign on D-65 and entered the path of a southbound car on Highway 21. Both vehicles left the roadway and went into a ditch. Two people were ejected from the van. one died at the scene and the other three were transported by ambulance or airlifted to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Names of victims were to be released today.
