Severe storms sweep Dakotas to Texas with hundreds of twisters
Thunderstorms spread from the Dakotas to Texas with damaging winds hail and tornadoes across the Mississippi Valley Plains and into Illinois Rainfall from half an inch to two inches. About 36 tornadoes touched down including 14 in Missouri 10 in Oklahoma seven in Texas and four in Arkansas causing two fatalities in Dekalb and Paris Texas and heavy damage at Blossom. High winds reached 100 mph in Nevada mountains and 82 mph at Ord Nebraska with warnings for heavy snow and cold and a forecast of mixed precipitation across the Midwest and Northwest Coast.
