In 1941 the archdiocese purchased and converted an abandoned Williamsville public school into a temporary chapel for Catholics. Four years later St Thomas More's in Williamsville is a flourishing parish with a resident pastor and a substantial church replacing the chapel. Four temporary school rooms now serve 81 children including Immaculate Heart of Mary in Forestville as a mission. Daily sacraments are possible, with sisters aiding and a providential pastor guiding growth.
Mt St Joseph College will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the annual homecoming on Saturday November 24 with a tea from 3 to 5 pm a 5 pm procession a 8 pm banquet and meetings.
