Moslem Conversions Seen Through Song and Service
Bishop Nicholas Hettinga from Rawalpindi says music opens Moslem hearts and catechists use portable organs to sing catechism and Bible stories. He notes 15 000 Catholics in the diocese with 30 schools and 6 000 pupils, about 75 percent Moslems, while medical missions support a 250 bed hospital aiding contact with Muslim women. He seeks more sisters and funding from Americans to bolster mission work and training for catechists and nurses.
