English preacher notes Protestant decline in England
The Rev. Donald MacArthur of Surrey, England, traveling in the United States, observes in Cincinnati that less than 10 percent of England's population attends church. He says Protestant membership declined before World War II but has since leveled, while Roman Catholic growth outpaces Protestantism if correct. He also notes Anglican proselytizing and cites Bishop Ernest Barnes who questions miracles and Genesis, promoting euthanasia mercy killing and sterilization ideas.
