General William Palmer Dies After Long Illness
General William Jackson Palmer founder of Colorado Springs died at his Glen Eyrie home at 1 30 pm after a fall fractured his spine while horseback riding near his home in October 1906 He was 72. Surviving daughters Mrs Elate Myers and Misses Dorothy and Marjorie Palmer and other family members were at his bedside.
