Banquet Planned for Visiting Team at Grand Central

High school boys and girls basketball teams host a banquet at the Grand Central tonight to honor the visiting Lander team. Doors open with a 75 cent goers, miniature pennants, and a Coliseum dance after the game at 11 30.

Midwest Oil Pays Royalty to State on Section 1 Well

The Midwest Oil Company paid the state a monthly royalty of 1129.25 for oil from one well on School Section 1. The lease pays 50 cents per barrel and 22,585 barrels were produced in the month. Contracts are in place for twenty more wells, with a second well on Section 11 expected to complete soon.

Annual St Patrick Concert and Dance Scheduled in Casper

After the town hall burned the Casper band plans a St Patrick day concert at the Coliseum on Monday March 18 with a full band dance to follow. Admission is 60 cents for both events and proceeds fund new uniforms and music.

Secretary Banner of the Casper Industrial club is preparing a descriptive pamphlet for those seeking information about Natrona county resources. The booklet will cover mining fruit agriculture and industry and will respond to numerous inquiries with detailed letters. Passenger Jack Bigelow Frozen Hands After Leaving Northwestern

Jack Bigelow a passenger on the Northwestern from Clinton Iowa to Lander left the train at Waltman in an intoxicated condition on Sunday night. He wandered the station unable to find shelter and spent the night outside. Found Monday morning he was exhausted with severely frozen hands. He was brought to Casper and admitted to hospital for medical treatment. Doctors fear potential loss of some fingers though he was not frozen to death.

Ray and Avery Sentenced for Coyote Pelts Theft

Ray and Sam Avery were arraigned before Police Judge Tubes on Thursday of last week and sentenced to ninety days in jail for stealing coyote pelts from Shorty Caatle's bar and selling them to the Casper Alongs company. Shorty accused them and they admitted guilt after a heated argument.
