A man named Fanton was found unconscious in a room as flames spread, Marshal Jones extinguished the fire and a doctor assisted the injured man who planned to go to work after recovering. In Casper an obituary notes William M. Galey born Kentucky 1835 died June 18 1911 aged 73 with survivors including wife and three children. Funeral held at the Baptist church led by Robert Hopton.
Sergeant Garthwaite, who instructed Cam Hy boys, left Tuesday for Cheyenne with plans to return to Casper soon. A wall for wall scaling contest has been built and the men are working to lower the high jump record.
A refined Casper wedding united Miss Gertrude Lindsay and Mr. William If. Mrowner in the Lindsay home with Rev. J. W. Kingsley officiating. Miss Elsie Wilkerson served as maid of honor and Ward Smith as best man. The ceremony featured a white satin ribbon aisle, a rose and carnation decorated arch, and Mendelssohn’s wedding march. The couple departed for Denver and then Missions Ranch near Livingston, Montana, amid countless well wishes.
Former Casper resident Lee Toleman, once with Northwestern at Osie place, was seriously injured in a Los Angeles auto crash, died in Chicago. The news follows his local ties and youth in Casper.
A lighthearted prank on George W Campbell, once a gents’ furnishings dealer, involved his co workers staging a rice and confetti shower at the station as he arrived with a female companion. They threatened a water baptism if he did not bring cigars, a playful return to the scene the next day.
