Young Forger Fitzwater Faces Wyoming Bonded Court

A western court reports R. Fitzwater, a 14 to 30 year old eastern youth from Champsom Illinois, accused of forging two checks totaling 190 with Patton's signature. He cashed 140 at Belloc's saloon and 65 at Edelweiss cafe, later arrested after fleeing toward Big Muddy. Pleaded guilty to both counts at hearing, bond set at 700 dollars for each charge, awaiting District Court July 7.

Pipeline project moves forward to Casper from Salt Creek

The Salt Creek to Casper pipeline is now a certain project. Mr. B. H. Hopkins left Monday for Colorado Springs to arrange contract lettings for the pipeline construction and the refinery. Work will start immediately and soon be underway.

Wonderful Cave Discovered in the Big Horn Mountains

Law N. Larson and companions report a cave near Story Wyoming rivaling Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. The group reached a large interior chamber with a 20 foot high roof and triangular passages. Larson plans photos and deeper exploration while protection of the site continues.

At last week’s regular meeting all members attended. Official bonds for deputy assessors Lawrence Jameson and A. L. Schuler were approved. J. F. Dalton’s liquor license hearing set for next meeting. At a county joint meeting the high school board elected staff for the ensuing year including music teacher Abner Shirk and Supt T B McDonald. The building used for the county high school was leased again. The board accepted Mr Jennings resignation and chose Mr Kowman as principal, with Miss Culton and Miss Te deen among others.
