Mining Tour Sees New Prospects Across Cascade Range
Rossburg financier Morris McCarty returns from two week inspection trek through mining camps on both sides of the international line. He notes promising ore showings at Zala M., Torodo, Bodie, Bolster, Chesaw, Oro, Camp McKinney, Rock Creek, Midway and Nelson, with mills and shafts actively operating, including 10 and 20 stamp mills and several copper prospects. He believes the district may yield some of the greatest mineral finds on the Pacific slope and expects rapid development along the Kettle Falls route toward Republic and beyond.
