Granite mine has 10 workers on a six foot white quartz ledge. five-stamp mill ordered. dam and 1500 feet of ditch completed. Rich ore strike at 300 foot level in Cariboo hints at ample supply for 20 stamp mill and continued dividends. Brooklyn and Stemwinder shaft in Greenwood camp 800 feet deep. double pumping plant ordered to remove water. Wm H Jeffrey visits Rathmullen group on North Fork Kettle River with encouraging outlook for deep ore bodies. steam hoist and pump likely soon. Cariboo No 2 Gold Mining Co formed near Camp McKinney, north of Caribou, with good surface shows. 600,000 shares sold quickly in Spokane. Winnipeg Mining Co in Wellington camp to develop with a 7 drill air compressor from Jenckes Co. management predicts major district potential. An offer of 80 cents per share for 50,000 shares was refused.
