Timber Contract Set for Water Power Dam Construction
KE M Dana and David P Barber of Cascade won a large timber contract from Dominion Mining Development Agency Co. for 60,000 lineal feet of round timbers 25 to 40 feet long to build the 850 foot dam above the Kettle River cascades. About 2000 timbers required, date and price not disclosed.

The Robson Penticton section of the Columbia and Western railway contractors Mann Foley Bros and Larson will move their pay office to Cascade. A 24 by 36 foot building was let to Woodard Hitchcock McDonald and Hildebrand for erection within ten days. Paymaster Woodman and Purchasing Agent Mac Leod will operate from Main street near the Commercial hotel after January 20.

Vincenzo Cievelo an Italian described as Shipped Across the Line threatened to carve fellow countrymen at the Jos. Derox railway camp a few miles up the lake last Wednesday. Town police sought a warrant but he escaped before arrest and crossed into the United States, avoiding capture.
