Mountain lioness slain after wandering into town

A famished mountain lioness wandered into town on Monday seeking food. Geo Ritchie hunted and killed the animal near the old blacksmith shop, then two others dragged the lifeless body to town. The seven foot long creature weighed under 100 pounds in poor condition, with a potential government bounty noted for the hide.
