Boundary Mines Brief Bits From Many Camps

The City of Paris Gold Mining Co in White's camp lists 50 workers. Copper ledges in Mountain View Summit camp assay 17 percent and are under bond to a Montreal syndicate. The New miners union at Phoenix has 54 members and Greenwood 44. more unions planned at Fairview and Camp McKinney. Assays of chalcopyrite ore yield 80 percent copper from Oro Denoro in Summit camp. The Maple Leaf shaft and crosscut near Kettle River proceed with deepening. A. D. Lloyd leaves for California. Paul Johnson eyeing Mother Lode smelter sites. Major Leckie estimates 40,000 tons of ore at Summit camp averaging 10 percent copper, 5 oz silver, and $1 gold. Norway Mountain lead four-foot quartz vein shows fine copper pyrites and gold near Gladstone. The Bonanza at Bossburg pays dividends and ships a carload daily. Morrison tunnel reaches ledge at 625 feet with copper ore. St Mary vein near John Bull yields copper pyrites and gold. ore returns $60 per ton. London and Canada Syndicate reports high silver and gold from Gold Bug samples. Old Ironsides in Greenwood camp deepest shaft at 827 feet. ~150 miners employed, expansion planned. seven crown-granted claims, surface rights secured, no town lots yet. 10-drill air compressor in use on Old Ironsides.
