New Moline Wagons Arrive for Pretty Home Wedding

At the home of the bride’s parents on Pike Street the wedding of Miss Ethel Rome Hutchins and Mr Clement V Stephens of Carthage took place promptly this morning. Guests mingled before and after the ceremony as they prepared to travel to Carthage for their future home. Mr Stephens, a young Carthage businessman, will occupy the Gurney Nixon property on North Main Street with his bride, who is noted as an accomplished elocutionist.

W L C Meeting Notes and Local Visits Highlight Block

The W L C met at Mrs John Johnson s home with talks on the Concord Group writers and philosophers and Poe papers read by Mrs W W Henley and Mrs Dunn. A lively discussion followed as many local residents were noted in visits and town events ranging from revival services to travel and social calls in Knightstown Pendleton Greenfield and Indianapolis.

Just Married Ethel Hutchins and Clem Stephens Celebrate Farewell

Bride Ethel Hutchins and groom Clem Stephens wed at the Middle Street Methodist Church with Dr W J Virus officiating. Guests toasted with a three course breakfast and a post ceremony train departure on the Big Four despite a few delays. Rose bouquet hooked by Beliy McGarthy and Leola Davis amid a jubilant farewell as 75 guests watched. The couple planned to spend time in Michigan after departing by Miller's dray.

High School Enrollment and Local Football Match Update

Six pupils enrolled this week bringing total to 262. Prof. J. I. Scholl notes strong school work and honors Township High Schools’ course plan by Supt. W. A. Stockinger.
