A large family reunion for Grandma Steele gathered at Loo Shields with about twenty five attendees. Funeral of Freeman Thomasgat Willow noted with Carrie Newhouse and friends attending.

Pennypacker elected governor by about 175,000 plurality. Boise Penrose expected to retain Senate seat. Indianapolis Journal notes 168,716 for Pennypacker and 73,690 for Pattison.
Westland schools welcomed visiting teachers J. H. Scholl O Coffin and Misses Binford on Monday and Agnes Brady Nina Ford Nelle Cassady and Georgia Schmid from Rushville on Tuesday. Visitors praised the visit and many former teachers were present. Today marks the first quarter close with exemption students enjoying a holiday. diligent work is required for exemption. The football team travels to Knights Town tomorrow for the return game.
