White Shield and the Call for Noble Womanhood
The April meeting featured Allice Chappel and traced the White Shield’s 1885 origin in England as a female equivalent of the White Cross. It stresses self care, avoidance of tea coffee whiskey and tobacco, heredity, mental influence on the body, and training girls to uphold purity and high character for a stronger society.
