Epworth League Hosts Christian Endeavorers Social

Epworth League entertained Friends Christian Endeavorers at O. O. F. Hall last Friday from 7 to 10. President F. H. Holt and a receiving committee welcomed guests as cards with questions were used for a lively quiz. After refreshments and music by the Carthage Cornet Band and mandolin, everyone joined a social march, praising the evening for fostering social unity in their shared work.

Martha Ann Gibson Dies at 53 in Charlottes ville

Mrs Martha Ann Gibson wife of Oliver Morris died at her home in Charlottes ville on Thursday March 12 aged 53 years 4 months and 24 days She was a lifelong Baptist church member a faithful wife and mother and a kind neighbor She leaves a husband nine children and seventeen grandchildren Funeral services were held at Westland chapel on Friday with Rev Anna Moore officiating.

Rushville Republican reports a new fair circuit established yesterday in Indianapolis involving EAO Wea Hagerstown Ni Muncie Rushville Elwood Shelbyville Anderson Greenfield State fair Winchester Portland with each association offering 40 dollars. Sixty percent of the total goes to the horse winning the most heats and forty percent to the horse with the second most heats. Uniform rules cover fair privileges.
