Indianapolis Jan 18 Both houses in separate sessions yesterday formally cast their vote for United States senator and the vote results were Beveridge 28 Turpie 19 Burkhart 1 in the senate and Beveridge 57 Turpie 37 in the house four members absent sick. The house debated committee reports on bills 116 and Shideler convict labor while the reform bill on township government was set as special order for Friday morning. Bill 21 regulating patent rights passed unanimously. No afternoon sessions were held.
