Reports of bobsled excursions, a funeral for Mrs. Sarah Gates, and an upcoming Edward Taylor recital. Also notes from East Street Christian Church with New Year services and a hat shipment.
The rate for boxes is fixed by the Department and rent must be paid one quarter in advance. A box is for one family or organization only and can receive mail for that entity. Postmasters must issue receipts. deviations should be reported to the First Assistant Postmaster General in Washington, D. C. The office is open for postal business from 6 am to 7 pm.

Miss Mattie Bently hosted a Wednesday evening party for Ruth Williams and her visiting brother Elmer from Christmas. Guests wrote the sentence The weary plowman homeward plods his way in many forms and Miss Anna Earnest won a fancy calendar for producing the most sentences. About twenty eight variants were created. Nice refreshments followed for a pleasant close.
