Obituary: Enos E. Phelps Dead at 35 in 1898
Enos E. Phelps son of Joseph and Jane Phelps, born February 28, 1863, died February 14, 1898 at age 35 years 11 14 days after a protracted illness. He suffered three and a half years from a disease baffling to doctors, confined only in October, gradually failing until death at nine thirty Monday night. A believer in Jesus, converted at Friends Church meetings three years earlier, his main regret was leaving his family. He was a loving husband and father, often saying, How sweet it would be depart and be at rest.
