Obituary of Louisa Jane Newby of Hancock county Indiana
Louisa Jane Newby born August 31 1835 in Blue River township Hancock co Indiana died January 31 1898 aged 62 5. She married Nathan Newby February 9 1854 and had five children two of whom survive with her husband. A devout Christian she joined the Friends church at Westland and was known for singing and ministering to the sick and needy. In her last illness she spoke of faith and urged her family to meet in the good world. Funeral services were held at Westland church with ministers J O Binford Lindley A Wells and Micajah Morris and interment followed in the nearby cemetery.
