Indiana Supreme Court affirms broad authority of the road supervisor noting unlimited power to command property and people in district. The decision states the supervisor may take materials from adjoining land for highway repairs and impress labor without trustee consent, with duties matching power and possible citizen compulsion.
Trustee barred the supervisor from essential tasks but the ruling holds that refusal does not excuse performance of duty. Also notice of sale for a Wheeler & Wilson sewing machine model with seven drawers direct from manufacturers and inquiry at the office.
Delinquency notices and week ahead orders for cut flowers. Local moves include Hufford family relocation to Shirley, Mrs Hay improving, Nellie Lineback ill, and Coffin visiting a sister in Indianapolis. Dr. Frank Clare English to preach at Fletcher M E next Sunday, with invites extended. Evangelist John T. Hatfield writes of Boston hostility in Cambridge a college town home to Harvard University. He describes Unitarian beliefs, clashes with theologians, and a seven week revival effort facing hecklers hoodlums and police protection. The riot ends with arrests, resumed services, and a strong parish turnout.
After the fight, a frantic man burst into the Al Tar service. A wild-eyed figure rushed the aisle. a policeman chased him down and restrained him before more harm. He carried a revolver a black jack and was intoxicated.

Also names H Lee Union township as candidate for County Treasurer and Henry E. Guffin of Union township seeking renomination for Representative to the State Legislature under Republican nomination decisions.
Clell Maple is announced as a candidate for County Recorder pending the Republican nominating convention. Vincent Gray of Union Township is named as a Recorder candidate, also subject to convention decision.
Charles H Lyons of Center township seeks the Republican nomination for Commissioner of the Northern district subject to the party nominating convention.
