Main Street hardware merchant William H Sharer announces purchase of Stanley & Coleman stock. The sale closes Thursday January 25 1906, with Sharer to operate the combined business in the William P Henley block, continuing in the same location.
The Stanley and Coleman hardware store on Main and East Mill streets announces a stock sale closing February 10. Lew Stanley began managing Stanley & Son in 1902 and Jim Coleman joined in 1898. both men built a strong local reputation, with offers from major firms directed at their future as traveling and city salesmen. Coleman, a Mason and I. O. O. F. member, plans to accept a position with Simmons Hardware Co. St Louis.
