Hills and Henleys Reunion Becomes Community Gathering
About 300 attendees gathered as the Hills and Henleys welcomed 90 Henleys and 111 Hills to the county. The program included poems, a history paper by Thaddeus Hill, and a family song. Athletic contests favored the Hills 47 to 41 while Henleys took many first places. Resolutions of respect honored several deceased relatives and a lodge charter was draped in mourning for 30 days. A memorial memorializing a deceased member was submitted to the Carthage Record and Talisman.
