The church board voted to hold Rally day and homecoming on October 16 inviting friends. Last Sunday both services drew large crowds and the Friends church aided by welcoming the new minister Rev Schoolfield and wife. Choir rehearsal is Friday at 7 pm and Rev and Mrs Schoolfield plan to move into the parsonage next week. Sunday schedule on October 2 includes Sunday School at 9 30, church at 10 30, and evening service at 7 30 with sermons The path of the bleeding feet and And the game goes on.

Old Farm Home Burns Saturday Noon
A house on the James Brooks farm, built over a century ago, burned to the ground Saturday around noon. The family believed a small roof fire was extinguished before dinner, but flames surged as they returned. Most lower floor furniture survived except the kitchen. second floor items including a trunk of papers and clothing were lost. The milk house and storage shed with a $400 Delco light plant were also destroyed.

Edgar H Boone aged 45 died Saturday at his home. Funeral services were held Monday at the home of his sister in Greenfield. He was a member of the Red Men Lodge Eagles Lodge and the American Legion. He is survived by his father W T Boone one brother W B Boone and sister Mrs William B Sitton of Greenfield. Interment was in Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
