A crowd of 1700 to 1800 attended the WLS Radio program by the East St. Christian church Duo class in Rushville. The event netted about 200 dollars, with attendees from Rush county and beyond. Lulu Belle and the Barn Dance ensemble led the hour and a half show to strong applause, praised as unusually high quality for radio.
A Carthage street parade by four women in old fashioned dress was a sorority initiation drill. The pledges were told not to speak to anyone and to ignore familiar faces as part of the service.

Rushville church officials deacons stewards elders and committeemen will receive special recognition at a county wide union service Sunday at 7 30 p m in Rushville. The Rush County Ministerial Association sponsors the third annual event honoring all past and present church officers with Dr J J Haramy of Indiana Central College delivering the message. The Margaret Hill McCarter Federated Literary club met at Mrs. Dean Stanley's home east of Arlington on Thursday afternoon September 17 with a pitch-in dinner. Mrs. Jesse Stout presented a red rose bouquet, and a library project was organized with librarian Mrs. Raymond Overleese. The program featured Mrs. Stout detailing famous cathedrals with pictures and views, while Mrs. Renegar showed an old Rosary from St. Ann De Beaupre France. Participants included Mrs. George Carwein and others.
East St. Christian Church in Carthage announces indoor fair replacing the annual anniversary auction. Christian Helpers Loyal Women’s Class and other church groups sponsor a bazaar entertainment and a dinner and supper on Friday October 9.
