Wife of Bruce Cavnes Dies After Illness
Mrs. Sarah Ellen Cavnes, 60, died at 8 p m Saturday at her Arlington area home after a five month illness. Born March 3 1884 in Sterryville Virginia she was the daughter of J F and Stephene Dodson. She was a member of Blue River Wesleyan church and is survived by her husband and four Dodson brothers. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev W F Siders and Rev Howard Crim officiating. Burial was in Arlington cemetery.

The new A gasoline ration books have been mailed and are held by most motorists. Each book contains six stamps worth four gallons each, totaling 24 gallons for a three month period. The old A books expired September 21 and had eight stamps of three gallons each, also totaling 24 gallons.
Couple to Celebrate Silver Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Lee Silver celebrate their silver anniversary with an open house at their Charlottesville home Sunday September 24 from 4 to 6. Married September 22 1919 in Rushville Indiana they have lived in Arlington and Carthage communities most of their lives. Methodist Pastor Resigns to Lead Paoli Friends Church
Rev. S. M. Riggle resigned as Fletcher Methodist pastor after three years to become pastor of the Friends church in Paoli. He preached his final sermon Sunday September 10. Rush County Farm Bureau to Install Soybean Plant
At a September meeting the Rush County Farm Bureau directors decided to install a soybean extracting plant. The cooperative will lease ground and equipment to a new Soybean Cooperative Organization selling preferred stock to fund construction.
