Geology survey continues dye test in Big Blue River
The Geological Survey will pour a harmless bright red dye into the Big Blue River near Carthage on September 6 1986 to study travel time of contaminants. Engineers will monitor the dye downstream with sampling at Carthage Rush Hancock line Morris town and US 52 Morristown. The dye Rhoda mine B solution fades from bright red to pink and disappears within miles. The test is endorsed by Indiana departments and continues time of travel studies in the East Fork White River Basin.

Two Carthage Girls Injured In Wreck
Two Carthage residents, Patty Gibson Richmond and Pam Fuchs, were injured in a car truck collision on the Knights town Carthage road around 3 30 p m Friday. A Knights town driven pickup allegedly turned left in front of the Richmond car at the Homer McDonald driveway. Both were treated at Henry County Hospital with Fuchs suffering the more severe facial injuries including a broken jaw. Richmond was released the same day.
