Revival Leaders Announced for MFletcher Church Event
The MFletcher Methodist Church revival begins Sunday October 28 and runs six nights through Friday November 2 with two leaders in charge. Rev Ashland Shaw, 35, a member of the Alabama West Florida Conference and minister of Methodist Students, directs the Wesley Foundation at Auburn University and has extensive youth work. Rev James H. Reed, founder of The First Christian Assembly in Rushville, leads music and serves as Presbyter over twelve churches after ordination in 1958 by The Assemblies of God.

Rodmaker William Herbert of Carthage dies after illness
William Herbert Rodmaker of Carthage died Tuesday October 16 at Rush Memorial Hospital after seven years of ill health and a week of serious illness. Born August 5, 1905 in Dearborn County, he was married to Ethel Thurston in 1944. He is survived by his wife, three sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, and other relatives. Services Friday at 2 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Carthage.
