Elmer E Ellison of Jackson Township Dies
Funeral services for Elmer E Ellison age 73 were held at Hannegan Christian church with Rev E S Cozner officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Ridge cemetery. He died near Occident Thursday morning after long illness, survived by widow, daughter Edith Ruby, two sons John and Robert Ellison and nine grandchildren.

Milroy Man Arrested After Car Seizure With Liquor
Charles Marsh of Milroy was arrested by state excise officers after nearly four cases of liquor were found in his car. His wife drove the car and was released after Marsh admitted transporting liquor without a carriers permit. Five pints were found at his home. The car and liquor were confiscated. Marsh was fined 25 dollars plus costs totaling 35 dollars in municipal court before Mayor Charles A. Frazee.

Ex Postmaster Sentenced After Plea in Indianapolis
Mrs. Zula B. Houston former Arlington postmaster pleaded guilty to embezzlement and received one year and a day in Federal Women's Prison. She had served 12 years in office, faced a $900 shortage, fainted when sentenced, and was replaced by Fred Woods after her removal last July.

Last Rites Held For Mrs. Adah Posey
Funeral services for 50 year old Mrs. Adah Posey were held Monday at the Main Street Christian Church in Rushville. Officiating were Rev. George Holwager and Rev. W H Funderburk. Burial followed at East Hill cemetery. She died Friday evening at 6 30 from heart disease. Born in Glenwood she was daughter of the late Mathew and Martha McConnell and lived in Rush County most of her life. Survivors include her husband Fred Posey a son Eugene and sister Miss Minnie McConnell of Glenwood.

Greenfield Plans to Call and Reissue Its Own Bonds
