Rush county junior livestock judging teams finished 4th and 5th in the state event at Purdue last weekend earning blue ribbons for top third standings. Soldier Charles Omer Six Killed in Action in France
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Six of near Rushville received word from the War Department that their son Pfc. Charles Omer Six was killed in action in France on September 5 after previously being listed as missing. He was 28, a truck driver in field artillery, overseas 16 months, and had entered service October 8, 1941. Surviving are his parents, two brothers Mardon and Rex, a sister Mrs. George Burris, and he was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Will Nelson of Carthage.
