John Allen Ruby returned home in Carthage last Thursday after treatment at Robert Long Hospital Indianapolis for a fractured leg and broken ankle. Sam Nigh remains at Rush Memorial Hospital for observation and care. Eugene Miekush came home from St Marys Hospital Rochester Minnesota after major surgery. Earl Addison had eye surgery at Rush Memorial Hospital, entering hospital Tuesday and surgery Wednesday.

Methodist ministers meet in Carthage for Rushville district event

Sixty seven ministers and their wives gathered at Carthage Methodist Church with the Woman's Society of Christian Service hosting a noon luncheon. President Rev Arnold Adkins presided while Rev Merlin Schwein led devotions and Rev Beck led a post luncheon discussion after a business meeting.

About fifty parents children and scouts attended the Scout Court of Honor Sunday night at the Community Center.
