Whitely Family Arrives as Newberg Pastors
Rev Charles C Whitely and family arrived from Carthage Indiana and are set at the Friends parsonage. He was introduced at morning services by Pres Pennington and preached briefly at night. A large crowd welcomed the new pastor Thursday with ivy chrysanthemums and roses adorning the church. The program featured brief addresses and music by the Newberg Orchestra with refreshments served by twelve young ladies.

Delivery wagon runs Thursday morning. Grocers meat dealers bakers asked to prepare Wednesday or early Thursday. U S Board and Paper Co. does not close.
