Guy Ewing was released from Rush Memorial Hospital to his home on Tuesday after major surgery. He is slowly recovering and making progress at home.
Mr and Mrs Russell Siler and family have moved into the Guil ford property on North Market across from their former residence marking a local neighborhood change with the Siler household now at a new street address.
Waltz Studios returns to Carthage Community Center on Friday November 23 from 4 00 to 4 30 p m to take proofs of children for publication in The Carthage Citizen.
The annual Thanksgiving services will be held at 7 30 oclock Wednesday evening at the Nazarine church with the Rev Louis Parrett delivering the message All are urged to attend.
A large crowd attended the Conservation club event Sunday north of Carthage. Participants were awarded 21 turkeys 6 hams and 12 cornish hens. The club plans another shoot December 16 and a free supper December 1.
The Carthage Grain Co Armour Fertilizer Co and Early Daniel Red Co hosted the Sth annual customer meeting at the Carthage Community Center Monday evening. Color Alaska pictures by Mr Lee Silver impressed about eighty guests in the auditorium. Souvenirs prizes and refreshments followed the social in the basement.

Mrs. Leone Brooks of Knightstown died Thursday noon at Jackson Nursing Home Rushville. A Carthage Christian church member she was the daughter of Nerrius and Julia Heathcock. Survivors include Morton Brooks husband two daughters Helen Cornette Indianapolis Bernice Settle Munice three sons Lowell Knightstown John Rushville Earl Evansville two sisters Ethel Bundrant Rushville India Richmond Cleveland Ohio two brothers Edgar Heathcock Pennsylvania Albert Heathcock Washington DC Funeral services 2 pm Sunday Knightstown Christian church Rev Lawrence Carter Carthage. W. W. Lindley age 72 longtime Howard County superintendent and former Carthage teacher died Sunday in St Joseph hospital Kokomo after a two weeks illness Funeral services were held Tuesday at Stout Funeral Home Russiaville Survivors include widow Otia three daughters one son and three grandchildren

Army Privates Samuel C. Gray and Gerald H. Eckart, both 17 and 18, Rushville Indiana, are set to complete six months of active duty training at Fort Sam Houston Texas on November 23. Mrs Harold Ruby and Mrs Thomas Bush attended the Ladies Shrine luncheon Wednesday at the Murat Temple in Indianapolis.
