Hoosier Motor Club secretary warns that carbon monoxide danger rises in cold weather as motorists forget its lethality. Gas is colorless and odorless, present in exhaust at 4 to 7.5 percent of volume, dangerous in closed garages or cars with engines running in cold mornings. Ventilation is advised even in winter to prevent asphyxiation from leaks or heater use.

Death of Chas Pierce in Arlington at 60
Charlie F. Pierce aged 60 died Sunday at his Arlington home after years of declining health. Born May 26, 1881 in Posey township he served in the U S Navy from 1904 to 1908. Surviving are his widow two daughters Mrs Virgil Bryant Rushville and Mrs Neil Rhodes Dayton Ohio two sons James Brownsburg and Robert at home two sisters Mrs Norma Brookshire Brownsburg and Mrs Carl Snyder Indianapolis and one granddaughter Jeannette Rhodes. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday with burial in Arlington cemetery.

Five Dollar Vehicle Tax Proposed By Revenue Act
The Hoosier Motor Club notes a $5 federal use tax per vehicle starting February 1 1942 under the 1941 Revenue Act.
