Halloween damage reports describe air hoses cut at D X Filling Station Beher s Garage and Phelps Filling Station. About fifty tomb stones overturned at Friends Church Cemetery. Authorities vow action and punishment for those responsible.
Mr and Mrs Arthur White attended events in Indianapolis on Tuesday. Mrs H E Stager Mrs O C McCarty and daughter Mary Eilen visited in Indianapolis on Wednesday. An Agnes Copher from St Louis Missouri visits her sister and brother in law Mr and Mrs Joseph Graff with Marlene Graff. James E Watson and Charles W Jewett to discuss campaign issues at Memorial Gym Rushville Friday night November 2 at 7 30 oclock. All Indiana voters urged to attend. Mr and Mrs John DeSchipper and daughters Betty Jean O Mari and son Johnny attended Century of Progress in Chicago last weekend and heard John McCormick sing on Sunday at the Chicago State.

W R Zion of Knightstown and Nellie Southard of near Cambridge City married Friday last in Greensburg by Reverend C W Martin. They visited Greensburg hosts J W Black and toured the Ohio River into Kentucky before returning to 328 East Jackson Street Knightstown Monday.
Carthage opened the 34-35 basketball season with a 24-1 victory over Raleigh Sisters. The Bluebirds dominated from the start leading 9-3, 14-8 at halftime, and 19-16 after three quarters. Norris and Glover led with 5 and 7 points, while Porter and Bramecon-Southworth contributed as Carthage showcased a five-man lineup and sharp shooting. The Carthage seconds won 30-7 behind Cook and McMichael.
The annual meeting of Christian churches of East Central Indiana meets in Connersville on Wednesday November 14 with sessions at 10 00 1 00 and 6 00. Sponsored by the United Christian Missionary Society these conventions travel the Union and aim to exalt Jesus Christ strengthen churches and present world missions and Christian education.

The Hannegan Church announces Sunday services with morning sermons on Again and evening theme Indiana for Christ. Services start at 9 30 a m and 7 p m with two youths and the minister speaking. A Halloween party was held Thursday night with a song fest led by Miss Marjorie Tribby and address by W H Fund burk of Rushville. Members meet Thursday at the Hendrix home and church services are set for Wednesday November 7th.
Fletcher M. E. Church reports a well attended homecoming with former members returning from Franklin and Indianapolis. Dr. Walter S. Rader spoke, praising two years of progress and the redecorated Auditorium. The afternoon featured solos by J. R. Behr and Grace McKnight, and Rev. W. E. Gill spoke on Finding God.
