Miss Bettina Murray appears as guest star on the Hoosier Hayride two hour country music show Friday night June 7 at 8 00 oclock in Knightstown High School gymnasium. Knightstown Lions Club sponsors the program featuring Dale Abney and His Hoosier Rhythm Boys Velma Wright Smoky Whitaker Kenny Wilson and others. Proceeds support building a skating rink at Sunset Park Knightstown. Admission is one dollar for adults and fifty cents for school children.

Mrs Rosa Steele 94 longtime Rush County resident dies
Mrs Rosa Steele aged 94 died Saturday at 3 30 p.m. at the home of her son Wayne Steele in North Gladstone Indianapolis Indiana after a year of poor health and a three week critical period. Survived by son Wayne a sister Mrs Ina Rhodes Carthage four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Dorsey Funeral Home East New York Street at one p.m. Tuesday with burial in Glencove Cemetery Knightstown.

Three entrants from Carthage competed in the Miss Indiana pageant at the Indiana State Fair Grounds. Sharon Sipes Suzanne Bramel and Kay Sims of Greenfield formerly of Carthage advanced to the final sixteen with Sims winning second honors and prizes. Sims is a professional model with H P Wasson Co in Indianapolis. Bramel is the daughter of Mrs Clarence Henley of stayed in the running and Simes a recent winner at Western Electric Indianapolis.
