Ripley 4-H Boosters Meet At Carthage School
The Ripley township 4-H Boosters met with the Needletwisters on Thursday evening May 9 at Carthage school. Max Manche presided at 8 pm and Joyce Carson led the pledges. Ross Manche led the club songs as members split for the business session. Paul Edwards reported on secretary and treasurer duties. Edgar White spoke on Better Farm and Home Methods. Record books were distributed and members voted to hold future meetings at the school in June.

Hazel Stanley Wilcoxen died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at her Mooresville home. Her husband Lee Wilcoxen found her there after returning from the farm. Born June 24, 1890 in Blue River township Hancock county she lived in Mooresville all her life. Survivors include her husband and sister Mrs Ethel Miller of Knightstown. She was a Walnut Ridge Friends church birthright member. Funeral Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Walnut Ridge Friends church. Rev Walter McAdams officiated. Interment in Walnut Ridge cemetery.
