Thomas J McConnell Injured as Train Hits Car
Thomas Jesse McConnell twenty two and Noel Guffy twenty one were in a car struck by a train at the Belt crossing on Morris street in Indianapolis. McConnell survived with head lacerations crushed elbows and internal injuries while Guffy died from a fractured skull and internal injuries. Both men worked night shifts at Inland Container Corporation and were returning to the plant for a special post breakfast job.
