Michael F. Lovett, a former Carthage grocer and WWI food administrator, died at 90 in a Rushville nursing home. His 1918 will left one half to his wife Mary Edith Lovett and the other half among seven siblings, with a 1951 codicil naming Treon Young as executor. Surviving sisters are Nora Thompson, Kate Lovett, and Nancy Crawley. nieces and nephews also inherit. The estate is valued around 85000 dollars.

Mrs. Carrie Henley died Monday night in a nursing home in Indianapolis after an extended illness. Fashion Show A Big Night At Memorial Gym
Over a thousand attended the Spring Fashion Jam boree at Memorial gym with Billy Moore's Orchestra. Kay Fields sang and narrated the style show while Willie Whitehouse entertained with impersonations trumpet juggling and comedy. Local acts, Charleston numbers, and teen group scenes followed, door prizes highlighted by a large automatic dryer won by Mrs. Harold Talbert. Proceeds will benefit the Swimming Pool Fund.
