Two crashes occurred Saturday night in Rushville with minor injuries. At 7 20 p m Earl Andis 66 of Arlington swerved to avoid a car and hit a parked vehicle owned by Maudie Brewer of Kokomo. Police report blinded by headlights. Damage totaled 800 to the parked car and Andis 1953 model was demolished.

Herbert C. Myer Rites Held Died At 85
Herbert C. Myer of Morristown died on his 85th birthday at Jackson Nursing Home after four months residency. A retired farmer, he lived east of Morristown for 59 years and was born March 18, 1878 in Shelby County. He married Roxie Nigh in 1901, who died in 1960. He served 43 years as an elder at Morristown Christian Church and held roles as treasurer and trustee. Survived by daughter LaVaughn Hutchinson, two sons Glen and Lowell Myer, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
