Trustee and Mrs. Robert McKain will be at Fred Parish Insurance in Carthage on Saturday March 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for public assessment purposes and convenience.
Mr and Mrs Hubert Hunt accompanied daughter Pam Hunt of Butler University and three friends Marty Klein Marsha Maurer and Ingrid Stein of Butler to Bloomington last Thursday night to attend the York City Ballet performance at Music Hall.
Rachel King of Carthage Catherine Hahn Louise Neel and Mary Miller of Knightstown Lavonne Miller of Wilkinson attended the V F W and Auxiliary District Meeting at the Muncie Post Home Sunday.
Weekend guests included Clester Wells and family of Oxnard California Bennie Logan of Rushville Alice Bennett of New Castle Hayden Mentress and sons of Louisville Cur tis Wells Essie Gulley Leo Whitfield of Carthage Ronald Whitfield and family from McGuire AFB Joe Fitzgerald and Marcus Pingleton from Komo mo.
Lowell Geise remains seriously ill at Rush Memorial Hospital. Charles Mosier is recovering from major surgery at Community Hospital in Indianapolis. Phillip Sattler is a patient at Henry County Hospital in New Castle. Mrs. Albert Ray shows improvement at her Carthage home. Bob Nigh entered Rush Memorial Hospital last week.
Mr and Mrs Clemon Clines of Carthage announce the birth of a daughter born Saturday.
Kappa Ka Sigma's Sorority members gathered Tuesday night at the Community Center with nineteen members present. Mrs. Hugh Weber presided and Mrs. Noah Brooks filed the secretary's report. Plans for the May first and second convention were discussed along with a party for senior girls. Bridge and canasta prizes were awarded to Mrs. Noah Brooks Mrs. George McNabb Mrs. Claude Pearson and Mrs. Robert White. Refreshments followed the social period.
Mrs Rachel King hosted the Knightstown VFW Auxiliary gathering on Monday evening. President Catherine Hahn led the meeting while Mrs King presented the secretary report and Marjorie Walker the treasurer report. After business, refreshments were served.
Army Specialist Four Lawrence A Creswell of Carthage Indiana took part in a Short Notice Annual Practice exercise with Battery C 3d Missile Battalion 517th Artillery from Union Lake Michigan at the McGregor Guided Missile N M on March 14 17. Creswell entered service in 1962 and is a Carthage High School graduate. S/Sgt Ronald Whitfield from Carthage visits Creswell's parents and prepares for a year assignment in Korea after serving at McGuire AFB.
The East Street Christian Church will host a revival from April 4 to April 9 with a pre revival pitch in March 31 featuring a film No Time to Wait. Evangelist Hank Weaver will be a guest. a 24 hour prayer vigil precedes the revival with sign ups through April 2. Public invited.
The National Honor Society expresses deep appreciation to the American Legion post for a $25 contribution toward NHS sponsorship and to the Lions for ongoing support. Seniors report activity pickup after a slow spell with Army Navy and Air Force reps visiting March 11 1965 and plans for May 8 farewell trip. James Carr of Waterford Conn son of Mr and Mrs A J Carr Knightstown has been named northeastern sales manager for the Samuel M Langston Co Camden N J makers of corrugating and paper mill equipment He will oversee Langston sales in New England and Eastern Canada Carr a Purdue University graduate and former Coast Guard Academy athlete resides at 15 Magonk Pt Waterford Conn The Rush County fair calls for exhibits with classes in cakes breads cookies pies needlework crafts and 65 plus creative articles with premiums 1 50 1 00 and .50 for top placings
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Nigh entertained Friday evening at their home with a cooperative party honoring the birthdays of Addison and the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Nigh. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gardner of Mays Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Paulley Mrs. Goldie Addison and Mary Ruth Bennett of near Carthage.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Wells hosted a Sunday family pitch-in at their home with visitors including Earnest Savage of Indianapolis Schroon Lake New York guests the Greenoughs Mann Riggs Fair Emerick all of Shelbyville Also Mrs Phillip Lukens of Mt Summit visited Maurice Lukens's home Tuesday.

Rev and Mrs Gene Miller and daughter Lynn visit Dayton Ohio. Leland Hawkins of Richmond visits his parents. Richard Jackson and son Mike attend a birthday dinner for Mrs Della Sipes in Maple Valley.

Tom's Peanut Co. women's bowling team from Knightstown won the Rush County Bowling Tournament last weekend. The Darth Knight Lanes Woman's League team scored 2778 including handicap to take the team title and earned individual trophies plus a total of $40 for the five players: Mary Lou Gray Shirley Lukens Betty Brooks Judy Jackson and Bonnie Drake.
The 32nd semi annual Greater Indianapolis Antique Show opens March 25 at the Murat Temple and runs through March 28 with hours 1:00 to 10:30 daily. last day closes at 6:00. Fifty five exhibitors present a $500,000 display of antiques from states including Washington DC New York Florida Illinois Ohio Indiana Michigan Missouri Kentucky and Iowa. Five of the 22 Indiana dealers are from Indianapolis. Exhibits feature Art Glass jewelry Haviland China silver Victorian glass coins stamps ornate lamps and Indiana Greentown glass among others. Some booths showcase large decorative items for decorators. Reproductions are prohibited by contract and new merchandise is excluded.
Hiram W. Renfro 66 of Knightstown died Friday at St. John Hospital Anderson after a six month illness. A World War I veteran he worked 15 years at L S S C Knightstown and retired from General Motors Anderson. Survived by wife Lillian and 14 children plus 20 grandchildren. Funeral Monday 2 pm at Butcher Funeral Home Knightstown with interment Glen Cove Cemetery.
