The Carthage Cannery will not operate full time next season due to insufficient acreage despite high market prices. All tomato contracts remain, corn contracts largely cancel, and raw material forms catsup. W. F. Dana, manager, has leased a Frankfort factory to reopen there while Carthage faces financial loss from partial closure.

Notice by J. A. Murphy administrator of the Isaac Doran estate that at 1 p m on April 5 1911 the late residence in Carthage Indiana will be sold all household goods and the decedent's personal property.
Thomas E. Jones, Earlham representative at the State oratorical contest, will deliver his oration titled The White Slave Traffic Sunday at 7 0 clock at the Friends church under the auspices of the C E Society.
Samuel B Hill longtime Indiana resident died at 4 a m Tuesday at his Carthage home after a lengthy decline. He was 79, born February 22 1832, Rush County, and lived 20 years in Carthage. He served as trustee of the Joseph Hill Benevolent Fund and White's Manual Labor Institute, helped found good roads, and led Riverside Cemetery as president. He was a lifelong Quaker and schoolteacher, leaving seven children and a wide circle of relatives. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery with services held at the Friends church.
City and J H Pepper of Leesburg note the death of Mr Hill. Mrs Ruth Warner of Chicago, daughter of the deceased, was delayed by her son Donald’s serious illness with a second diphtheria and scarlet fever attack. W P Henley, his brother in law, came home from Florida for the funeral. Businesses closed in respect.

The funeral of A B Reeves a noted lumber dealer of Knightstown was held yesterday. In a separate incident Charles Parish working at a strawboard pasting machine fell about four feet fracturing his right elbow on the cement floor.
