Rushville High School Lions captured the Rush County sectional title for the seventh straight year. Morton of Indiana Soldier's and Sailor's Children's Home and New Salem Eagle teams provided stiff competition. Final: Rushville 34 New Salem 23 with Buron noted for pace and accuracy.

Widely known contractor dies in Shirley
B. C. Hufford a noted builder and brother of Mrs. J. M. Havens died Saturday at his Shirley home after paralysis. He was 65, raised in Rush county, survived by his widow eight children two sisters Mrs Ezra Warrick of Shirley and Mrs Havens and a brother William T. Hufford of Arlington. Funeral at Christian church Shirley Tuesday morning with burial in Glencove cemetery Enghtstown.

Approximately 2 826 Rush county residents benefited from Indiana University during the year ending 1930 through teaching research and direct services. University extension programs reach tens of thousands in year
The university reports education films on history industry and travel served public schools at cost and taught 252000 during the year. Extension welfare services reached 136962 others. Health and hospitalization services aided 58407 and exhibits and demonstrations reached about 150000 with geological surveys analyses business investigations and other science work aiding 7660 persons.

Coffin Is Dead at Walnut Ridge Age 81
Miss Mary B. Coffin, 81, died Saturday about four o’clock at her Walnut Ridge home after a period of poor health due to pneumonia. She was a county resident, owned a lot at Brians church, and is survived by a sister Miss Louies Coffin of nearby. Funeral services were held Monday at the home with Rev. Nathan Picket of Carthage Friends church in charge. Burial followed in Walnut Ridge cemetery.

A study from four states finds that pregnant women who received medical care had a 3.2 per thousand death rate versus 7.6 among those who did not. He worked as a painter and paper hanger in Oskaloosa and moved to Omaha 16 years ago. Funeral services were held at Powers Funeral Home with Rev Frank R Hamilton in charge and burial at Forest Cemetery.
