Billie Sue Fentress a 17 year old driver from Carthage lost control on Knightstown Road at night. Her car left the highway and entered a ditch causing $350 in auto damage and $50 to a nearby fence at the Phillip Sattler farm. She was charged with failure to possess an operator's license.

Edgar V. Ruby a lifelong Carthage resident died Friday night at 9 in Jackson Nursing Home Rushville where he had lived two years.
