Passion Week services run from Palm Sunday March 1 through Easter Sunday March 27 at the Fletcher M. E. Church. The pastor will preach each night and a Good Friday community service will be held March 25 at 1 PM. The choir led morning and evening services with a dress song service before the sermon, and W. S. Rader notes good attendance.
Leonard Kenworthy of Earlham College spoke at Sabbath School about aeroplanes as Envoys of Good Will or Enemies of Destruction and argued that while physical power prevailed briefly love ultimately wins. The church invites good attendance for midweek Military Training discussion and outlines next Sunday's schedule with services and Co. E. marching at 6:00 P.M.

The EL. B. O. W. will meet next Monday evening with MPs Walter Dhonau to discuss upcoming matters.
The Friendly Circle met at Mable Phelps home Tuesday evening with ten members and four guests. After the business session the group enjoyed a social time and dainty refreshments.
DOT AND WILL hosted Mr and Mrs D P Dunn and Mrs Ralph Moore on Tuesday. The evening featured bridge games and dainty refreshments for 13 members and four guests. Mrs Rice C Hill returned Wednesday from a two week visit with Dr and Mrs F H Riley of Jamestown and was Sunday guest of Dr and Mrs George Collett and family of Crawfordsville. Mrs Russell Linville and children spent Sunday and Monday with Mr and Mrs Will Young and family west of Knightstown.
Miss Helen Matlock of Rushville chairs the state high school Latin contest in Rush County with Indiana University Extension Division. The district meets March 26 and the state contest April 8 at Indiana University during the Latin teachers conference. Four divisions reward gold, silver and bronze medals for top finishers.
Webb Bolinger died at 74 from pneumonia on Wednesday at the county Farm. He lived near Carthage for years. a brother in California survives. Burial is at the infirmary cemetery with a graveside service Thursday at 2 p.m. Sunday guests included several locals and visitors from Greenfield Philadelphia and Marion. Other notes mention trips and visits by local residents to California Indianapolis and Amo.
The Indianap? Library notes new juvenile titles, essays and a Latin contest. Local residents, book gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Coleman and Mrs. Righter, and several visits and trips are listed. Several grade lists and upcoming basketball events at Rushville and Carthage are noted.
The state highway department took over a 2.10 mile road from the junction of U S 40 in Knightstown to the south side of the state home in Center Township. The move shifts maintenance from the county and adds roads numbered 224 and 44 into the state system. Total new mileage brings state control to about 31 miles of county roads.
Regular township Farm Bureau meeting at Carthage School discussed land reappraisal with the county assessor. James McGeorge presided as secretary-treasurer Charles Spenser stressed volume in consignments. A.R. Street spoke on 4-H dairy calf work and breeding for production. The 1932 membership banner was presented by Fred Goddard.
Mrs Alice Leisure and Cassius Gray were married at the bride’s home Saturday at 1 30 PM with Rev Mor ris Wilson officiating. Guests included Mrs Bert Leisure Paul Gritton Mrs John Johnson Mrs John Peterson and Mrs Louis Campbell. The couple will live on the Gray farm near Henderson.
A niece of Mr and Mrs Charles Butler Harriett Butler of near Knightstown, married Robert McClarnon of near Greenfield at the Butler home in Indianapolis. Rev Mary Harrold conducted the ceremony with spring flowers and Easter lilies. The couple will reside at the groom's farm near Greenfield after a brief wedding trip.
Floyd L White of Topeka Kansas and Franklin E White with Mrs. Elizabeth J Hill and Mrs Verna S Hill hosted guests Wednesday. They called on friends including Mrs Harry Snider and daughter Betty of Portsmouth Ohio who visited her parents Mr and Mrs William Parish Friday.
